The Apollo Hotel and Altamont Hotel, operated by Mission Housing Development Corporation, offer permanent, supportive housing for formerly homeless and low-income adults in the 16th Street/Valencia Street corridor. Built during the Post- 906 reconstruction, these historic hotels are among the largest in the neighborhood, helping to preserve its character while addressing housing needs. Mission Housing aims to set an example for local hotel owners on providing stable Single Room Occupancy housing.
